研究方向为功能纳米材料的制备,及其在分析检测、生物医用、能源催化等领域的应用。在Analytical Chemistry,Chemistry - A European Journal等国际期刊上发表高水平学术论文20余篇,授权国家发明专利5项,主持国家自然科学基金2项,辽宁省自然科学基金重点项目、沈阳市中青年科技创新人才支撑计划等项目共4项,获评辽宁省高等学校创新人才,辽宁省百千万人才工程万层次人才,获得辽宁省自然科学学术成果奖、沈阳市自然科学学术成果奖多项。

承担的教学工作包括:本科生专业课《实用塑料材料学》和《功能高分子》,通识课《绿色化学与生活》,学科基础实验《有机化学实验》,创新实验《科研训练》、《综合实验》和《研究型实验》;研究生专业课《高分子材料剖析》。获聘为辽宁大学创新创业导师,辽宁大学“三师”助学育人工程导师,带领学生参加“大学生创新创业训练计划”(其中1项为国家级项目,2项为省级项目),在2015年辽宁省普通高等学校本科大学生化工设计创业竞赛中带领学生获得三等奖。
